Smile!

Getting all three kids to sit still at the same time for a photo has proven to be much easier said than done. I love photos, but have gotten lazy about capturing our life. When I do snap a photo or two it seems one kid has zero interest and is off doing something else, or one is crying, or one wants to be held, or one is laying on top of another... you get the picture. That is why the first photo is a personal favorite... they're actually sitting, looking, and even smiling. :-)

Off to church! Tyson loves getting dressed up
and is wearing his first tie.

Catching Up

I am super behind on my blog posts... Thanksgiving was spent with the extended Coburn family and Christmas with my folks in Arizona.

We're 18 Months Old Today!

One and half years old today! These toddlers are on the go- they are adding a few new words to their vocabularies, love to feed themselves with a spoon, enjoy playing with Tyson's toys instead of their own, want to be outside all day long, will express their frustration and anger through crying spells, and can't live without their "bunnies" (half stuffed animal/half blanket).

Last Halloween photo, I promise! They're both smiling in this one.

We're Baaack!

It's been awhile! But, we're still here and doing well. Tyson is now 4.5 and Bria and Caleb are 17 months old. Tyson enjoys Pre-K, AWANA, and playing outside (yay for Fall!). Bria and Caleb have gone from babies to little people! Bria is more on the quiet side compared to her brothers, but can stand her ground when needed. She's not a fan of her stroller, but when I let her walk she stays right next to me (unlike her brothers). Caleb is our little daredevil and wants to do everything that Tyson does. He loves to climb anything he can and he likes to try to ride Tyson's bike. They both have just a handful of words, but do a lot of pointing to communicate the words they can't say yet. Although they are toddlers, I still call them "the babies".

 Beautiful Bria

They love to dust and cry if they don't get to dust (no complaints from me)
The dusting continues on the other side of the room

Football season is loud and proud in our home

They don't have any football gear, but they have the (fake) face paint :-)

Double Trouble

Well, B & C are 15 months old and on the go! These two go from being super sweet to causing mischief in seconds. They have recently figured out how to turn on the bath tub, so they love to turn it on, get wet, and then run out of the bathroom in laughter. Caleb can now reach up and open any of the doors in our home = eek! When we load up in the family car, they like to hide on the other side of the garage. And, Mr. Caleb is very intrigued by the log holder in our fireplace and has gotten quite dirty trying to move it. :-(

They LOVE big brother Tyson and enjoy following him, wrestling with him, and playing with him.

Three Amigos!

I like to coordinate the twins' outfits, but lately Tyson has been feeling left out. So, he has picked out his own outfits for church to match theirs.

Girlfriend?

Driving home from preschool on Wednesday:

Tyson: Hannah (5th grade neighbor) came into our classroom today and said "Hi" to me.
Me: That's neat!
Tyson: Then, ___ asked me if she was my girlfriend!
Me: Really?
Tyson: I told him no, she is my friend. But he thinks she is my girlfriend.
Tyson: What's a girlfriend?

These are special times...

I'm on summer break, so there is no excuse why I have not been posting photos more frequently. Sorry about that.

The end of July was spent in Ohio visiting my grandparents. I saw them last March before having the twins, but they have significantly aged since then (they are now 97 and 91 years old). Tyson and I enjoyed our special trip together, while my mom held down the fort here and watched the twins.

Best ice cream shop! It has a moving carousel in it!

Tyson and his 2nd cousin Nora... I used to look out this window like this when I was a kid :-)

 1st day of Pre-K!

All 3 are excited for Tyson's big day

Catching Up

Summer!!! We've been playing a lot and having fun... well, too much fun that I struggled to make deadlines for school. But, now I am on summer break, so life is good. Here are some photos from the past few weeks.
 Last day of preschool!

Tyson enjoyed VBS again this summer

Ear tubes

Little Caleb is a trooper... he got ear tubes this morning for chronic ear infections. He's recovering well and seems like himself. Now we're hoping for very few ear infections while the tubes are in. I enjoyed spending some time with just Caleb this morning. :-)

Happy (belated) Birthday Caleb and Bria!

O.N.E. Can't believe our twins turned one last weekend! Another day for C & B, but feels like an accomplishment for Adam and I. :-) Nursing is done and now the (not-so) fun task of transitioning to the sippy cup is at play. Lately, Caleb has been our social butterfly as he enjoys interacting with others and loves to make noises. He is our bulldozer… likes to play rough and destroy anything Tyson has created. Bria has been more on the quiet side… she still loves being held and is our little vacuum, as she picks up everything and either puts it in her mouth or hands it to us. She is a helper and likes to put toys away and/or give us toys.

Caleb likes: playing with his new ball and trying to escape to the outside patio (but the dang screen door is in the way).
Caleb dislikes: being hungry.
Tender moments: Watching him cuddle with a stuffed animal.

Bria likes: to try new foods and follow her brothers around.
Bria dislikes: waking up… these days, she wants to be held for awhile after waking up.
Tender moments: In the morning, she follows Adam to the laundry room before he enters our garage and then cries when he says goodbye for the day.
